Michèle is constantly working to “raise the bar” in handbell ringing.  Her goal is to increase the public’s positive awareness of handbells, as well as musicians’ understanding of their great potential as a musical instrument.

She believes handbells are at an important cusp at this point in time and so — as they begin to broaden their influence beyond churches and schools and into concert halls and academia — handbell performers and composers have an amazing opportunity to really make a difference for the future of this wonderful instrument.

As part of this effort, Michèle is dedicated to performing and recording advanced classical art music, as well as commissioning new art music for solo handbells with a variety of other instruments.
